Telluride Nordic Association Hires Executive Director

The Telluride Nordic Center has operated for nearly three decades through a dedicated board. TNA board members have prepared trails, managed grooming operations and led the annual membership drive. With a huge increase of Nordic skiers seen during the quiet years of COVID, TNA recognized the need for an operational staff member to oversee the functions of the organization. Naani Sheva brings nearly eight years of nonprofit experience and a lifetime of nordic skiing to her role as Executive Director.

“There’s a huge love of Nordic skiing in our region, my hope is to creative a cohesive sense of community around our shared sport”

After Naani coached with the Junior Nordic program in 2021-22 it was obvious that the Nordic community was growing with the youngest generations. This year, the Junior Nordic program is full with 50 youth athletes and growing waitlist. This is in large part to the incredible work of Deanna Drew and coach Wayne Clark.

“We have an incredible resource right in Town Park in the Telluride Nordic Center. TNC offers affordable rentals, lessons, clinics as well as SKI PE and Snowcats programs for our youngest nordic skiers”.

The Telluride Nordic Center continues to offer many Nordic resources under the talented leadership of Director Andrea Schlegel.
