The Telluride Nordic Center is located in the Town Park Pavilion, adjacent to the Hanley Ice Rink.

Lessons
Private Lesson: $150.00 per person, up to four skiers. This is great for friends or families, or groups who would like to put together private instruction.
Group: $100.00 per person (four to six skiers), these are open to the public to book, you may meet someone new!
Learn to classic or skate ski with certified instructors at Telluride Nordic Center, in Telluride Town Park. Lessons are available in private or group settings, lasting one and a half hours each. Lessons for beginner, intermediate and advanced skiers are available.

Cancellation Policy: We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least two days before the beginning of your appointment or you may be charged a cancellation fee.
Lessons may be canceled without penalty 48 hours or more in advance of the start time. Lessons canceled with less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours’ notice will be charged 50% of the cost. All lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 100%. Any lessons booked inside the 48-hour window cannot be canceled without incurring the penalties described above. Please call the Nordic Center at (970) 728- 1144 to cancel an existing lesson scheduled within 48 hours. This allows us to facilitate the accommodation of customers on our lesson waitlist.

The Telluride Nordic Center offers affordable rentals of Nordic skis, ice skates, sleds and snowshoes, visit us in the shop to find your perfect rental. Return your gear by 10 a.m. the following day for a one-day rental fee.

Youth Programs
Ski PE
Ski PE is offered for 3-6 students through the Telluride Nordic Center annually in January. Registration for 2025 SKI PE opens November 4.
Snowcats
The Snowcats program is for our youngest Nordic athletes, kindergarten to second grade and runs select days and times in February, 2025. More details can be found here. Register for Snowcats here.
Junior Nordic
Junior Nordic operates under Telluride Ski and Snowboard Club with development and competitive team divisions. For more information email nordic@tssc.org or visit the TSSC website.
Skates & Sharpening
Need your hockey skates sharpened? Need your figure skates tuned? Stop by the Telluride Center where one of our dedicated skate sharpening team will hand tune your blades using our professional Blademaster machine with a custom grind of your choosing.
*New this season, our skate sharpening drop box will be located inside the Hanley Rink: a secure and convenient way to keep your blades ready to hit the ice. Read more below about how to drop your skates early season and after hours!

More Activies
The Telluride Nordic Center offers many ways to get outside and make the most of winter. Rent ice skate, snowshoes or book a guided tour through our wilderness areas.

Enjoy free ice skating with your family in Telluride Town Park! The outdoor rink is open from December through March, weather-dependent. The outdoor rink has a warming hut and restrooms. The indoor rink is open all winter season and has public skate hours — a schedule can be found on the Town of Telluride’s website. Ice Skates are available to rent at from the Telluride Nordic Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., daily. Return skates by 11 a.m. the next day for a single-day charge. For your convenience, there is an ice skate drop box directly outside of TNC, just drop your skates when you’re done. Please don’t walk on the pavement wearing rental skates.

Join a tour or make solo tracks in the Telluride Wilderness! Rent snowshoes from the Telluride Nordic Center.
Snowshoeing Tips:
Walk on the edge of groomed nordic trails on the opposite side of classic ski tracks.
Always check the area for avalanche danger.
Wear waterproof high-top winter boots.
Avoid cotton as the first layer.
Bring water and food.
Tell someone where you’re headed and when you expect to be back.
Be prepared for a storm.

Book a guide and tour the surrounding wilderness areas including Priest Lake and Trout Lake. Tours run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Available for beginners, intermediates, and advanced snow travelers.
Full day without transportation: $290 for one person and $190 for each additional person.
Half-day without transportation $225 and $150 for each additional person
Don’t forget: water, food, sunscreen, layers, sunglasses, camera, and waterproof high-top winter boots.
